Between “Black Friday,” the day after Thanksgiving when retailers usually mark their biggest sales of the year, and “Cyber Monday,” when millions upon millions of gifts are purchased online, there’s “Small Business Saturday.”

It’s the holiday shopping day intended to encourage people to drive past the national retail brands and do business with locally owned and operated companies.
