New guardians for children

Circuit Judge David Gooding swore in a new class of 75 Guardian ad Litem representatives Thursday in front of the Duval County Courthouse. The volunteers are trained to represent the best interests of children in the court system. Guardians work with judges and children who have been removed from their parents’ custody due to allegations of neglect, abuse or abandonment.
