A spokesman for Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan said Khan’s meeting Sunday evening with Gov. Rick Scott was “outstanding.”
“We were the guest of the governor and the discussion of economic development opportunities for the Jax region was outstanding,” said spokesman Jim Woodcock in an email Monday morning.
Woodcock and Scott spokeswoman Jackie Schutz did not offer details.
“They discussed economic development opportunities,” Schutz said in an email Monday morning.
Scott’s posted schedule for Sunday listed a “meeting with Shad Khan” from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday at the governor’s mansion in Tallahassee.
Khan has been investing in Jacksonville area businesses and also has expressed interest in the vacant riverfront Shipyards property near EverBank Field, home of the Jaguars.
