Crenshaw explains Syria vote, looks ahead to 2014 elections

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw says he opposes military action in Syria because after a “muddled, changing message” from President Barack Obama that the country should not become involved “in a civil war.” He also told about 70 members of the Meninak Club of Jacksonville on Monday he thinks Republicans will maintain control of the House in the 2014 elections and there is a “good chance” the party could gain control of the Senate. Such elections, he says, are often referenda on the public’s perception of the president, which isn’t high after a “complete flop” of Obama’s initiatives in the first year of his second term.
