On Aug. 6, it was my great pleasure to announce the selection of NEFBA’s new executive director.
Many of us already know Corey Deal from his days as NEFBA’s Governmental Affairs Director and liaison with the Clay Builders Council. When he took the reins of leadership at NEFBA on Sept. 3, he had the decided advantage of being on familiar turf. He stepped into the office having already won the admiration and respect of association members, government officials and the community.
Corey is coming back to lead the association at a time when strong leadership, sound judgment, commitment to growth and the ability to motivate and unite are critical to the success of the association and the industry.
The timing couldn’t be better. The upcoming fourth quarter is always a critical time on NEFBA’s calendar, demanding solid leadership, vision and teamwork to finish the year strong.
Just ahead on the calendar are important events such as the Realtor Builder Tradeshow, the annual Gala, Meet the Builder, as well as golf tournaments, socials, award presentations, educational opportunities, on-going SMC breakfasts, charity projects and special holiday events. We are fortunate to have Corey on board.
The role of the executive director is vital to
the association’s operation. The executive director must be able to bring many di-verse businesses, personalities, needs and levels of commitment together in a concerted, unified effort to meet our goals.
I’m confident Corey has what it takes to do that. And, I’m confident that our members will get behind him, give him the support he needs and be willing to go the extra mile to strengthen and grow our association.
Please join me in welcoming Corey Deal back to NEFBA. Each one of us can help Corey with our renewed commitment to improving the quality of life in Northeast Florida by donating our time, talents and resources to the association that has done so much for all of us.
