Fifty leaders of the Florida Home Builders Association gathered in Orlando last month to provide feedback to the recommendations of an 11-member Strategic Planning Task Force that has looked at FHBA’s operation and governance for the past year.

Led by President Suzanne Graham of Port Charlotte and Immediate Past President Dave Carter of Winter Haven, the Task Force has worked with the FHBA Bylaws/Resolutions Committee, chaired by Rodney Fisher of Clearwater, on changes that may come about as a result of the recommendations.

The discussions covered quorums at FHBA Board of Directors meetings, the size of the FHBA Board – currently 248 members – and the role that Life Directors play in the governance of the association.

The Task Force and the Bylaws/Resolutions Committee will review the feedback and circulate any proposed Bylaws changes 30 days in advance of the FHBA Fall Leadership Conference set for Oct. 17-19 at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay.
