Jacksonville's first Nordstrom department store appears to be a $31 construction investment - $6 million for the shell and $25 million for the interior build-out.
Inventory and furnishings for the St. Johns Town Center store will boost that amount.
IBEX Construction Florida LLC, which is building the $6 million shell, has applied for a permit for the $25 million interior renovation for the two-story, 130,000-square-foot building.
The address is 4835 Town Crossing Drive on the southwest side of the shopping center, which is at Butler Boulevard and the Interstate 295 East Beltway.
The store and eight adjacent new retailers are scheduled to open Oct. 3, 2014.
While the Nordstrom permit application indicates 130,000 square feet of space, the plans show a more specific 127,468 square feet.
Women's shoes, handbags and cosmetics are on the first floor, along with men's shoes and furnishings.
Callison Architecture of Seattle is the architect. Nordstrom is based in Seattle.
EverBank expansion to cost $2.2M
Jacksonville-based EverBank continues to boost its presence Downtown.
Auld & White Constructors LLC is preparing for a $2.2 million renovation of the 27th and 28th floors at EverBank Center Downtown for an EverBank expansion.
The expansion increases its presence to 11 floors of the 30-story tower and its employment there from about 2,000 to 2,400.
Permit applications in review show the two additional floors, at 32,688 square feet each, would involve renovations for offices, conference rooms, break rooms, coffee/vending areas and other space.
Each permit carries a $1.1 million construction cost for the tenant improvements.
EverBank already occupies nine floors, totaling 279,000 square feet. The expansion takes it to about 344,000 square feet, said building representative Pamela Smith.
Finalists chosen for ULI awards
The Urban Land Institute North Florida District Council will present its 2013 Awards for Excellence Oct. 10 at EverBank Auditorium.
The 2013 Visionary Leader Award will be given to Preston Haskell of The Haskell Co.
Awards finalists are:
• Private Sector: Black Sheep Restaurant; Omni Amelia Island "reimagination"; and Uptown Apartments at Town Center.

Westlake building sold
Exeter Property Group of Pennsylvania paid $26.45 million for a 549,755-square-foot distribution-warehouse on about 65 acres at 9767 Pritchard Road in Westlake Industrial Park.
Exeter 9767 Pritchard LLC bought the building Sept. 18 from Jacksonville Industrial Properties Sub I LLC. The building was constructed in 2009.
Johnson Industrial Properties is led by Johnson Development Associates Inc. in Spartanburg, S.C. The building carries a 2012 taxable value of $16.8 million.
Exeter has not returned calls for comment. Sources say it was in and investment purchase.
Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products is the tenant.
McKesson Corp. signs on the way
McKesson Corp., which bought PSS World Medical Inc. this year, is putting its name on the Southpoint building where PSS has been based.
Two wall signs for McKesson are being put up at 4345 Southpoint Blvd. Taylor Sign & Design Inc. is the contractor for the $4,956 project.
Worldwide Express build-out OK'd
The city approved the interior build-out for Worldwide Express in the Black Sheep Building in Riverside at 1534 Oak St., No. 301.
Coastal Reconstruction Inc. is the contractor for the $129,843 project, which involves 2,514 square feet of office space that includes the pointed part of the triangular building.
As the Daily Record reported Aug. 6, Worldwide Express Global Logistics intends to relocate from about 1,200 square feet of space in the Butler Pointe building in Southside to the top floor of the Black Sheep Building.
Black Sheep Restaurant operates on the first floor and has a rooftop dining area at the distinctive building in the heart of Riverside at Margaret and Oak streets.
The property owner is Margaret and Oak Street LLC, owned by the Insetta family.
The building was constructed in 2012. Black Sheep Restaurant Group Inc. is led by Jonathan Insetta.
Worldwide Express is a Dallas-based global logistics company that handles package and freight shipments for small to midsize businesses. It has operated in Jacksonville for about 15 years.
