A symposium on the future of real estate in Northeast Florida will be held Feb. 18 at the University of North Florida University Center.
The symposium is free but reservations are required. It starts at 7:45 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast. The program is 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The speakers include Eric Pardee, Jacksonville’s city planning and engineering manager; Greg Matovina, past NEFBA president and owner of a homebuilding company; Mike Herzberg, director of development at Sleiman Enterprises; Anthony Crocco, Metrostudy’s director of Northeast Florida; and Herb Jourdan, an executive with the Property Sciences consulting firm.
The moderator will be Rick Catlett, a former city official who now is president of the Gator Bowl Association.
The theme is “Exploring the Vision of Growth for our Region.” Topics include the overall economic outlook, the resale housing market, national trends, residential and commercial development, residential submarkets, governmental affairs and government regulations.
The associations involved are NEFBA, NEFAR and the local chapters of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals.
