Members of NEFBA attended the 2015 NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas in January and returned home with awards.
The University of North Florida student chapter captured second place in Outstanding Student Chapter competition nationwide.
Sponsored by the NAHB Leading Suppliers, the award recognizes student chapters for outstanding achievements in chapter activities, green programs, diversity and activities with their local builders association.
David Hacker, a member of the NEFBA board of directors, chair of the Remodelers Council and recipient of the NEFBA Associate Member of the Year Award, also serves on the NAHB Advisory Board for the UNF team.
Hacker was named the top advisory board member by the NAHB Student Chapters program. The award is in recognition of outstanding service and volunteerism. Student and industry relations are a vital part of the student’s educational experience.
NEFBA’s SMC distinguished itself at the show, as well. Cole Slate with Yellowfin Realty and the council won silver awards in the Rookie Sales Person of the Year and Sales and Marketing Council of the Year categories, respectively.
More than 75,000 builders, remodelers, students, faculty members and suppliers packed the aisles at the 2015 International Builders’ Show, Design & Construction Week.
Congratulations to our hard-working, dedicated members for shining the spotlight on our association.
