The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors raised $35,256 for Haven Hospice during its 12th annual Charity Bass Fishing Tournament in April in Palatka.
The number of fishing teams was up from 114 last year to 162 this year.
The event’s Family Fun Day featured a big slide for children, catch-and-release kids fishing tank, kids casting contest, car show, music and food.

The Carluccis bought their Brightway franchise in 2009 and have grown it to become the 14th largest of the more than 110 Brightway locations in 10 states.

The guide includes an overview of First Coast communities, details about recreational and cultural opportunities, moving tips and information about the company’s relocation services.
The company’s relocation program offers area orientation, trailing partner employment assistance, household goods shipment referrals and single agency representation.

Palencia, a master-planned community in St. Johns County, welcomed the opening of LuLi’s Cupcakes and Goldfinch Boutique at 571 Market St. in Palencia’s town center.
LuLi’s has been a premier bakery in St. Augustine for more than six years. Goldfinch Boutique sells hand-selected apparel, jewelry, accessories and gifts, and has served uptown St. Augustine for almost eight years.
The community also welcomed Smoothie Fresh Café, located at 163 Palencia Village Drive. The café serves vegan smoothies, fresh juices and healthy lunch entrees.

Davidson Realty agents and staff supported Habitat for Humanity of St. Augustine/St. Johns County by helping build a home May 2. The event was part of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build Week 2015.
Davidson’s team of volunteers included Shelley Nemethy, Margherite Myers, Erin Mount, Vicki Wilder and Gail George, who also is a Habitat board member.

David Weekley Homes and The Blood Alliance in Jacksonville hosted a blood drive May 4. In just six hours, 27 units were donated – enough to save 81 lives.
The Blood Alliance is the sole provider of blood to all Northeast Florida hospitals. It needs 360 pints every day to meet those needs.
David Weekley team members will host another blood drive Aug. 24 at the company’s division office, 680 Crosswater Parkway, Ponte Vedra. The public is invited.

LandSouth Construction, a general contractor specializing in multifamily, senior housing and mixed use development, took part in the National Fall Prevention Stand-Down effort.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration-sponsored program serves to raise awareness of fall hazards in construction.
Work was halted on all LandSouth job sites to talk directly to workers about safety.
Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction workers, accounting for 291 of the 828 construction fatalities recorded in 2013.

Davidson Realty’s nonprofit program, Davidson Cares, joined with Investing in Kids to provide $30,000 in grants to St. Johns County public schools,
Davidson raised $15,000 during the 2014-15 school year, and Investing in Kids provided a dollar-for-dollar match.
Mill Creek, Wards Creek and Palencia elementaries and Pacetti Bay Middle School each received $7,500.
