Groundbreaking will begin this month on amenities and a welcome center for TrailMark, a new master-planned community in northern St. Johns County.
The development by GreenPointe Communities is opening in summer 2016. GreenPointe welcomed builders Landon Homes and D.R. Horton to the community. Homes are priced from the mid-$200,000s.
Encompassing approximately 1,300 acres, TrailMark has been planned around the landscape’s oak hammocks, waterways and lakes.
For its amenities and welcome center, design team Ervin Lovett Miller of Jacksonville and Ansana Interior Design of Orlando will seek a “rustic modern” approach, inspired by a mix of modern and reclaimed materials and combining mid-century thinking with turn-of-the-century charm.
The amenity center will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, a resort-style pool with beach entry and play fields. Plans also call for the Camp House, a lakeside pavilion.
TrailMark’s first phase will include the beginning of an expansive trail system. Future plans include a kayak launch along scenic Six Mile Creek, which feeds into the St. Johns River.
D.R. Horton celebrated the opening of its first decorated model home Oct. 24 and 25.
Its Destin II model features an open floor plan with four bedrooms, four baths and an upstairs bonus room.
D.R. Horton has 10 Quick Move-in homes under construction, available for move-in this fall.
Also, GreenPointe recently welcomed Landon Homes to TrailMark.
The company’s single-family, one- and two-story homes range in size from 1,700 square feet to 3,791 square feet.
