Ewing adds 2, including former Jaguars player

Ewing Real Estate LLC has added former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Tom McManus and investment and development expert Malachi Haughton IV to its team.

McManus was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars from 1995-99 and the Boston College Hall of Fame Class of 2009.

An author, motivational speaker and philanthropist, McManus owns Tommy Mac Entertainment, which develops multi-media products.

At Ewing, McManus will focus on private debt placement, building new relationships and bringing in new real estate opportunities.

Haughton graduated from the University of Miami in Coral Gables with graduate degrees in economics and mortgage banking.

He has worked over 40 years in easement procurement and land title services for major oil, gas and electric transmission companies, including s Exxon, Chevron, Valero and Duke Energy.

Haughton returns to the Ewing team after nearly three decades to focus on the acquisition and disposition of commercial investment and development properties.

Kimberly Cowherd

AV Homes, Inc. has named Cowherd sales and marketing coordinator for its Jacksonville division.

She will support the sales and marketing teams in generating sales.

Cowherd holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Oral Roberts University.

Prior to joining AV Homes, Cowherd worked as a marketing coordinator at Team JAS, Inc., an aircraft parts support, component repair and manufacturing company.

She has additionally held positions ranging from social media to sales at Marriott Hotels.

Eric Akers and Andria Palgut

Davidson Realty has hired Akers and Palgut as its newest real estate agents.

A First Coast native, Akers is a recent graduate of the University of North Florida where he earned a degree in construction management and completed an internship with Emerald Homes, the luxury division of D.R. Horton.

Palgut was born and raised in Jacksonville and holds a B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of North Florida.

She earned her real estate license in 2002 and worked in the financial and mortgage industries prior to becoming a Realtor. She is working toward an M.S. in accounting from the University of Syracuse.
