Matt Devereaux has been named the president of the Jacksonville division of the Taylor Morrison home construction company.

In an Aug. 27 news release, Taylor Morrison Area President Steve Kempton said of Devereaux “has shown a commitment to developing team members while focusing on providing world class customer experience.”

“His deep experience in the homebuilding industry and proven leadership will be instrumental as we continue our strategic growth,” Kempton said.

Devereaux has more than 20 years of home construction experience.

Breeze Homes of Jacksonville announced in May 2024 that Devereaux was appointed managing partner. Breeze is the residential building division of Corner Lot Development Group.

Before Breeze, he was regional vice president at homebuilder Lennar. He was in a leadership role during its development of Stillwater, a master-planned golf course community in St. Johns County.

Devereaux will oversee Taylor Morrison’s development of Esplanade at St. Marys, which is expected to open in early 2026. Sited on 1,250 acres on the southern Georgia border, the development will comprise about 1,300 single-family homes, an 18-hole golf course and other resort-style amenities.

Following Esplanade at St. Marys, Devereaux will expand the Esplanade brand in Northeast Florida, including northern St. Johns County.

Taylor Morrison is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. It has developments throughout the United States.
