An oceanfront Ponte Vedra Beach home that was owned by a real estate professional and former mayor of Vail, Colorado, has sold for $18.75 million.
The home at 57 Ponte Vedra Blvd. sold Nov. 21. It was recorded Dec. 4 by the St. Johns County Clerk of Court. It is about a half-mile north of the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.

The home was sold by the late Rodney Slifer through Mount Lincoln Development LLC. Slifer, 89, died in February 2024.
He was one of Vail’s first Realtors and served as a City Council member for 16 years as well as the mayor for 12 years. He was co-owner of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate in Vail. Slifer lived in Jacksonville for many years, according to VailDaily.com.
The home was bought Bruce B. Wiltsie and William L. Davenport of Ponte Vedra Beach.
The real estate listing shows the two-story, 8,282-square-foot house on 0.77-acre was built in 2008.
It has six bedrooms, six full baths and one half-bath. Amenities include an elevator, a heated, an in-ground saltwater pool and spa. There is a wet bar, wine cellar, three fireplaces and a three-car garage.
Slifer bought the property as undeveloped land in 2001 for $2.1 million.
According to Daily Record reports, the record for a Ponte Vedra Beach home sale is $22 million in 2024.
