Jacksonville-based architecture, engineering and consulting firm RS&H announced the appointment of eight associates Dec. 4 to the firm’s executive team, including Nate Laukka to vice president.
A former associate vice president, Laukka joined RS&H 13 years ago as a field representative in North Carolina.
He graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2012 with a bachelor’s in civil engineering.

The firm also appointed seven engineers to associate vice president:
• Shawn Birst is a former traffic discipline leader in the St. Augustine office.
He joined RS&H 15 years ago after graduating from North Dakota State University with a master’s in civil engineering.
• Drew Chitwood is a former electrical engineer in the Dallas office.
He graduated in 2007 from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s in architectural engineering and joined RS&H in 2017.
• Kurt Clemente is a former senior electrical engineer in the Norfolk, Virginia, office.
He received a bachelor’s in 1998 from the University of Illinois Chicago and a master’s in oceanography in 1995 from Old Dominion University. He joined RS&H in 2018.
• Ed Colon is a former area highway leader and project manager in Orlando.
He received a bachelor’s in civil engineering in 1995 from the University of Central Florida and joined RS&H in 2018.
• Courtney Hance was a deputy project manager in the Jacksonville office.
She joined RS&H in 2017 after graduating from Clemson University with a bachelor’s in civil engineering.
• Jenny Noonkester is a former senior transportation planner in the Charlotte, North Carolina, office.
She graduated in 2001 from Florida State University with a master’s in urban planning. She joined RS&H in 2015.
• Clayton Singleton was an aviation engineer in RS&H’s office in San Antonio, Texas, since 2012.
He graduated in 2012 from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s in civil engineering.
