RadiFi Credit Union and Jacksonville University Athletics announced Dec. 17 a partnership that includes a “Small Business Spotlight” at basketball games.
Radifi said the three-year deal includes in-game activities and initiatives aimed at supporting student athletes and the Jacksonville community.
RadiFi will participate in JU’s annual Charter Day celebration, sponsor all student-athlete community service initiatives and host literacy programs designed specifically for student-athletes.
A “Small Business Spotlight” will direct attention to a small business during every home, regular-season men’s and women’s basketball game.
The partnership also creates opportunities for RadiFi to engage student-athletes as they prepare for life after graduation, such as through JU Career Design & Exploration workshops, job postings and one-on-one interviews with upcoming graduates.
RadiFi will be recognized through the “RadiFi Ridiculous Play of the Game,” highlighting standout athletic performances on social media across all JU sports. Additionally, RadiFi will serve as the sponsor of the men’s basketball game on Jan. 24 in celebration of Small Business Night.
“RadiFi Credit Union is all about helping our members ‘make waves’ in their financial lives. Partnering with JU Athletics — home of the Dolphins — is a natural extension of that mission,” John Servos, CEO and president of RadiFi Credit Union, said in a news release.
“We are grateful to RadiFi Credit Union for committing to the JU community in such a meaningful way,” Rick Canter, JU associate vice president and deputy athletic director, said in the release. “With both organizations sharing a rich history of serving Jacksonville for more than 90 years, this partnership strengthens our ability to prepare our student-athletes for a lifetime of success on and off the field.”
Terms of the partnership were not announced.
