What appears to be the ninth area Foxtail Coffee Co. is targeted for Mandarin.
The city is reviewing a permit application for Rhodes Building Co. of Longwood to build-out a 1,473-square-foot tenant space for Foxtail Coffee at 10601 San Jose Blvd. in Mandarin Landing at an estimated project cost of $335,000.
Plans show inside seating and outside dining. Total seating appears to be about 65.
Universal Engineering Sciences of Jacksonville is providing private plan review.
The site is northeast San Jose Boulevard and Interstate 295.
Jacksonville-based Regency Centers is the landlord of the shopping center, which is anchored by Whole Foods Market.
Regency’s site brochure shows Foxtail Coffee in the 1,576-square-foot Suite 406, the end spot in the new strip of stores south of Whole Foods.
Sephora and European Wax Center are in that strip.
It joins eight others in Northeast Florida in Jacksonville at The Palms at Gate Parkway and San Marco; in Jacksonville Beach; in St. Johns County in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach; in Nassau County in Wildlight; and two planned in Murray Hill and Palm Valley.
According to foxtailcoffee.com, the company has 84 locations in Florida; and six in Georgia, four in Michigan, two in Nevada, one in Virginia and one in North Carolina.

Foxtail Coffee also features Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, which began as a pink food truck.
Foxtail Coffee Co. was founded in 2016 in Winter Park.
In addition to coffee and tea, Foxtail’s menu includes breakfast and lunch sandwiches, bagels, croissants, muffins, banana and lemon bread, cookies and more.
It also sells coffee beans, gear and mugs.
