One of the nine open or proposed Foxtail Coffee Co. shops in Northeast Florida is permitted for construction, this one in Murray Hill in West Jacksonville.
The city issued a permit July 10 for Rhodes Building Co. of Longwood to build-out 1,500 square feet of space for Foxtail Coffee at 1195 Edgewood Ave. S. at a project cost of $322,000.
TSG Realty of Jacksonville is the landlord. The three-unit 4,650-square-foot building is at Edgewood Avenue South and Plymouth Street, along Roosevelt Boulevard near the Riverside and Avondale areas. The Colliers Urban Division is the landlord’s leasing representative.

Universal Engineering Sciences of Jacksonville is the private plan review provider for the Foxtail Coffee permit.
Plans indicate 49 seats indoors and none outside.
The Murray Hill Foxtail Coffee shop joins eight others in Northeast Florida in Jacksonville, with six open at The Palms at Gate Parkway; San Marco; in Jacksonville Beach; in St. Johns County in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach; in Nassau County in Wildlight; and two planned in Mandarin Landing and in Palm Valley.

According to foxtailcoffee.com, the company has 84 locations in Florida, six in Georgia, four in Michigan, two in Nevada, one in Virginia and one in North Carolina.

Foxtail Coffee also features Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, which began as a pink food truck.

Foxtail Coffee Co. was founded in 2016 in Winter Park.
