Panda Express Chinese Kitchen opened July 11 in Brooklyn Place in Downtown Jacksonville.
The shop is at 50 Riverside Ave., Unit 701. It is in a three-tenant building also leased by Chop Barbershop and Chipotle. It is near The Fresh Market.
The Ferber Co. of Ponte Vedra Beach is the landlord.
The chain said in a news release it was opening the restaurant with a ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. July 11 and making a donation to Feeding Northeast Florida.
According to the restaurant website, the Panda will be open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
The city issued a permit in February to renovate the space that was Bento Asian Kitchen & Sushi.
QDI Construction Inc. of Tampa was the construction manager for the $950,000 project to build-out a 2,000-square-foot space with 62 indoor seats.
Rosemead, California-based Panda Restaurant Group is the parent company of Panda Express, a family-owned Asian dining concept.
The shop is Panda’s 13th location in Jacksonville, according to its website.
