Faherty, a family-owned brand that sells men’s, women’s and children’s casual clothing that says “softness is our signature,” is cleared to build-out next to fashion designer Marc Jacobs at St. Johns Town Center.
The city issued a permit July 17 for Horizon Retail Construction of Sturtevant, Wisconsin, to make tenant improvements for the retailer at a project cost of $568,107.
The space is at 4812 River City Drive, Unit 121, next to Marc Jacobs in Unit 119. The retailers occupy space formerly leased to Talbots women’s clothing store.
Faherty is between Marc Jacobs and Brooks Brothers. That strip of stores is anchored on each end by Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer. The stores are near Nordstrom.
Twin brothers Alex and Mike Faherty founded the lifestyle apparel Faherty Brand in 2013. It is based in New York City. It has more than 70 stores nationwide. They and Alex’s wife, Kerry Faherty, lead the company.
There are four Faherty stores in Florida in Vero Beach, Delray Beach, Panama City Beach and Miramar Beach.
The closest to Jacksonville is 139 miles north in Savannah, Georgia.
