First Citizens Bank named Israel Gibbs as area executive for the North Florida market. He will lead business and branch banking operations in the Jacksonville region.
“Israel is a veteran of First Citizens Bank who knows the Florida market well and is highly regarded in the industry and throughout our local communities,” said Regional Executive Vice President of the Florida Market Melinda Perrier in a July 22 news release.
Gibbs has more than two decades of experience in commercial and retail banking, managing multiple branches in several regions. He initially joined First Citizens Bank in January 2007 and has served in various roles, including business and commercial banking with a focus on clients in the medical, professional services and industrial space in the growth phase of their business cycle.
Most recently, Gibbs was area executive for the bank’s Dallas market and previously served in commercial banking leadership roles for the bank in Southeast Florida.
First Citizens Bank, headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, has had a presence in the Florida market for more than 20 years. It has more than 1,000 associates in the state and 26 branch locations, including three in Jacksonville, according to firstcitizens.com.
