Jacksonville-based Drummond announced May 16 that it acquired Tucker Castleberry Printing and New London Communications, both completed within a 90-day period in early 2025.

The 86-year-old privately held Drummond, previously known as Drummond Press, “mark a major milestone in the long-term growth strategy,” the company said in a news release.

Drummond calls itself “a leader in marketing execution and technology-enabled print solutions.”

It said the transactions further position Drummond “as one of the most active and intentional consolidators in the print and marketing services industry over the past 13 years.”

“These strategic moves are about more than growth — they’re about integrating exceptional talent, technology, and culture that align with our long-term vision,” said John Falconetti, chairman and CEO of Drummond.

“Each company adds distinct value and strengthens our position as a national leader in marketing execution.”

Falconetti said by email the “two acquisitions in such a short period of time are material in our industry in terms of size and timing.”

Drummond is based at 2472 Dennis St. in the Rail Yard District, west of Interstate 95 and south of Beaver Street. The Drummond plant is at southeast Dennis and Stockton streets.

Tucker Castleberry Printing, a 75-year-old Atlanta-area commercial printer, brings a highly automated production platform, which Drummond called a core asset that will enhance its operational infrastructure.

The company was led by President Tuck Tucker.

“We’ve always taken pride in being a client-first organization with a commitment to innovation and reliability,” said Kent Tucker, former director of sales.

“Joining Drummond means even greater capabilities, deeper bench strength, and more resources to support our clients’ evolving needs,” he said in the release.

New London Communications, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, brings a digital printing and finishing platform that provides color management and overall production execution and also  manages promotional merchandise and branded apparel programs, including in-house embroidery.

That expands Drummond’s reach into high-demand, niche categories, the release said.

“This move is all about delivering more value to our clients,” said Eric Rountree, former CEO of New London Communications.

“By joining forces with Drummond, we now offer expanded services, national scale, and the same personal commitment our clients have come to trust.”

“These companies exemplify what we look for in strategic partners — strong regional reputations, forward-thinking leadership, and a commitment to excellence,” said Drummond Chief Revenue Officer Michael Yerecic.

Drummond said the acquisitions reflect its commitment to growth through selective and strategic integration.

Drummond offers technology-enabled print, logistics and fulfillment solutions to Fortune 500 companies and emerging brands.

John and Peaches Drummond founded Drummond Press in 1939. Falconetti, their grandson, is the third-generation CEO of company that has evolved into a broader marketing solutions provider, including digital and print services.

Trade website piworld.com, for Printing Impressions, reported in 2017 that in 2012, Drummond Press made its first major investment outside of Florida with the acquisition of Atlanta-based Graphic Communications.

It reported that in 2015, the company expanded its footprint in the Atlanta market with the purchase of the print division of RGI, a data-driven marketing and print solutions provider in Marietta.

Falconetti explained that to achieve its long-term goals, he knew that Drummond Press needed to rethink its approach to growth.

“The growth opportunities that the Atlanta region offered is what drew Falconetti in, but it seems that this is just the beginning of Drummond Press’ expansion,” the report said.
