Arizona-based Meritage Homes bought a portion of 945.76 acres of Northwest Jacksonville timberland May 15 for $13.475 million.

A Duval County Property Appraiser map shows that Lem Turner Road borders the property to the northeast and Braddock Road is along its eastern side.

West of the property is the Thomas Creek Conservation Area.

County records say its address is 2166 Figaro Lane, but that is not near the map site. The sale did not include the amount of acreage sold.

Tampa-based Eisenhower Property Group sold the land through EPG Jax LLC.

Meritage Homes of Scottsdale, Arizona, bought it through Meritage Homes of Florida.

Eisenhower Property Group is owned by Jeffery and Tonya Hills. The company is a residential developer.

Meritage Homes has Florida offices in Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Jupiter. It also has offices in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah. It has been a homebuilder for more than 30 years.

Meritage Homes announced in August that it is building in Kings Preserve in Dinsmore in Northwest Jacksonville.
