Chase Bank is planning a branch in the master-planned Beachwalk community in St. Johns County.
The site is at 604 County Road 210, just south of BJ’s Wholesale Club and about a mile east of the Crystal Lagoon at Beachwalk.
It will be the bank’s 10th location in the county.
The county issued a building permit May 16 at a project cost of $2,008,615.
Vericon Construction, which is based in Mountainside, New Jersey, and has an office in Orlando, is the contractor for the 3,432-square-foot building. Jacksonville-based Kimley-Horn is the civil engineer.
Beachwalk developer Falcone Group, through Twin Creeks SPE LLC, owns the land.
Site plans show 17 parking spaces.
Chase has 25 branches in Northeast Florida and said it will continue to open more this year and beyond.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon told Jacksonville reporters during a visit Jan. 31, 2024, that the bank plans to add 10 more branches in the metropolitan area.
Chase said the investment is intended “to provide greater access to banking and financial services to more customers and communities to serve the growing population.”
In addition to expanding the branch network, Dimon said JPMorgan may also add back-office operations to its existing mortgage center in the area.
Chase is the U.S. consumer and commercial banking business of New York City-based JPMorgan Chase & Co., which has assets of $4 trillion and operations worldwide.
