The 2025 Veterans Day Parade presented by The Law Offices of Ron Sholes P.A. is scheduled to begin at 11:01 a.m. Nov. 11 in Downtown Jacksonville.
The parade route begins on Water Street in front of the Jacksonville Center of the Performing Arts and will make a left turn onto Hogan Street, then continue east on Bay Street until it reaches Lot X in the Sports Complex. The 2025 route is about 1.11 miles in length and will last about two hours.
The parade will feature Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan, Honorary Grand Marshal Col. Len Loving, Mrs. Suzie Loving and Grand Marshal Padraic “Pat” Mulvihill.
Senior military officials, active-duty and retired military units, veteran groups, local school groups and decorative floats also will take part in the procession.
“It is truly an honor to participate in this meaningful celebration of the brave men and women from our community who have served our country,” Deegan said in a news release.
“As a proud military town, Jacksonville has a rich Veterans Day tradition, and I encourage all our citizens to be a part of it.”
Parade spectators may show their support by wearing red, white and blue and waving U.S. flags. The parade can be viewed along Water, Hogan and Bay streets.
The Veterans Day Parade is a rain-or-shine event. Should weather conditions pose a risk, the city will issue public notifications regarding necessary changes.
There will be multiple street closures in effect along the parade route. These will include both hard road closures and soft rolling closures with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office managing traffic control at each intersection.
Road closures will end at 2 p.m. or as soon as the end of the parade. Visit JaxVeteransDayParade.com for more information.
