Einstein Bros. Bagels is approved to build-out and put up signage at Hodges Pointe Plaza, which would be its fourth area location.
The city issued a permit Nov. 7 for a $450,000 build-out and two Oct. 24 for signs, totaling $4,600.
Stansell Properties & Development LLC of Odessa will renovate the 1,759-square-foot space at 13546 Beach Blvd. Unit 1A, between Starfit Yoga Studio and Chipotle Mexican Grill.
The menu includes bagels, spreads, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, muffins, cookies, pastries, coffees, teas and other beverages and items.

Sleiman Enterprises of Jacksonville owns the center, which is anchored by a Walmart Supercenter. Several small multitenant buildings line Beach and Hodges boulevards. The one with Einstein Bros. Bagels faces Beach Boulevard.
Einstein and Noah Restaurant Group Inc. of Denver is the franchisor.
The permit says the scope of the project is nonstructural. Plans indicate 19 seats.
Einstein Bros. Bagels has locations at Riverside Avenue and Margaret Street in the Five Points area near Downtown; in Orange Park and Fleming Island in Clay County; and at the University of North Florida.
A permit request filed last year for a store at Boulevard Crossing at northwest Beach and University boulevards expired.

In Northeast Florida, hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., although at UNF they are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Einstein Bros. Bagels says it is the largest fast-casual bagel brand in America. Its einsteinbros.com site says it was founded in 1995 in Lakewood, Colorado, and quickly began franchising. It is based in Lakewood.
In 2021, Einstein Bros. Bagels merged with Panera Bread and Caribou Coffee to create Panera Brands.
JAB Holding Co. in Luxembourg bought it in 2014. That company’s investments include Caribou Coffee, Panera Brands, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Keurig Dr Pepper and other brands that include Swarovski and other well-known names.
