Echo Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham is exploring development of a five-story, 122-room hotel in Northwest Jacksonville.
The site is at northeast Interstate 295 and Suemac Road south of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville W - I295 and I10.
City utility JEA issued a service availability determination letter July 28 and developers continue to explore the project, requesting a development meeting with the authority staff.
A conceptual site plan dated June 2, 2025, shows the proposed 47,831-square-foot hotel on 1.67 undeveloped acres.
Rooms are designed with one or two queen-size beds. One plan shows there will be 121 rooms.

Holladay Properties of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, near Chicago is the applicant.
The city Property Appraiser’s Office shows the site is owned by Swagat1024 Hospitality L.L.C, based in Jacksonville and whose manager is at Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Southwest Jacksonville.
Developer Holladay Property Services Midwest Inc. previously filed an application for an environmental resource permit with the St. Johns River Management District on May 3 for a four-story, 124-room Echo Suites in Middleburg in Clay County.
Holladay is based in South Bend, Indiana, with 25 offices that include Chicago.
Plans in Middleburg call for a 51,670-square-foot building on 2.3 acres with 130 parking spaces.
The property comprises four parcels at 3804-3808 Irvin Court at Florida Road 21 and the First Coast Expressway.
Plans show space for future development south of the hotel.
Gainesville-based JBPro is the civil engineer.

According to its website, Echo Suites targets guests who plan to stay seven or more days.
It lists 20 locations in 13 states. Of those sites, three are expected to open by early 2026.

The Florida hotel is in Naples. A stay there from Nov. 30-Dec. 7 for one guest in one room with one queen-size bed starts at $119 a night, or $940 for the duration, including taxes and service charges.
Echo Suites amenities include a full kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, cooktop, sink, and in some locations, a dishwasher; free Wi-Fi and available internet; an HDTV that is streaming-enabled, satellite radio and more; and hotel amenities including a fitness center, on-site guest laundry and free parking.
Echo Suites says it is dog-friendly at a fee.
Guests can bring their own kitchenware or buy a “dish pack” or “kitchen pack” for a fee at the front desk for the use of plates, bowls, cups, silverware, a pot, a pan, a lid and a basting spoon, spatula and colander.
Echo Suites has on-site vending machines for snacks and drinks.
