It appears Chicken Guy! is out and Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill is in at the River City Marketplace Walmart Supercenter.

Millennium Contracting Inc. of Orlando had applied for a permit in February for Chicken Guy, a creation of celebrity chef Guy Fieri and restaurateur Robert Earl, at the store at 13227 City Square Drive in North Jacksonville.

The city has returned the plans for corrections with notification that if work was not performed as of Oct. 1, a new Permission by Owner to Obtain Permits had to be submitted.

And if not resubmitted by Nov. 17, the application would be denied and a new one would need to be submitted.

In the meantime, a permit was created for review Sept. 25 for Crazy Pita in a 1,986-square-foot space at an estimated cost of $80,000 project.

Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill is planned in the River City Marketplace Walmart Supercenter. The restaurant would be at the north grocery entrance of the store.

Millennium is listed as the contractor. The project contact is listed as a representative of FE Construction LLC of Greeley, Colorado, whose feconstruct.com site shows it works with Crazy Pita.

Henderson, Nevada-based Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill, described as fast-casual Mediterranean, sells pita sandwiches, skewer plates, rice bowls, rotisserie chicken, family chicken dinners with sides, salads, sides, desserts and kids’ meals.

Online prices show pita sandwiches starting at $14.99, skewer plates and rice bowls at $15.99, chicken by the quarter and half from $12.99 to $18.99, and family meals starting at $34.99.

CrazyPita.com shows four locations in Henderson, two in Las Vegas, including one in a Walmart, and one in Florida in a Port St. Lucie Walmart Supercenter.
