Coastland Group, a Neptune Beach-based real estate developer, bought about 695 acres in Northwest Jacksonville on Oct. 15 for $12.5 million.
The undeveloped property is about 15.5 miles northwest of Downtown Jacksonville. It is accessible from Garden Street from the south and Plummer Road from the north. The bulk of the property is south of the Jacksonville Ranch Club.
Other subdivisions near the property include Highland Chase, Sierra Oaks West and Flora Springs.
Coastland Group bought the property through Chris Taylor HDH LLC. While the LLC is headquartered in the law offices of Ansbacher, Schneider & Trager in Jacksonville, it is managed by Christopher Goodin, the president of Coastland Group, according to state records.
The seller was Robert C. Taylor and Wendy G. Taylor.
Coastland Group took out a mortgage with Robert C. Taylor and Wendy Mansfield for $6 million. Mansfield is also known as Wendy G. Taylor.
According to its website, Coastland Group says it “has the vision and expertise to take raw land and turn it into a community for families.”
