A Texas company bought a new St. Johns County storage facility Sept. 5 for $15 million.
Extra Space Storage is in The Shops at Longleaf Pine at 150 Pine Chase Way off Longleaf Pine Road. It is south of Greenbriar Road across the street from the Publix-anchored The Shoppes at Rivertown.
The buyer was HPI Real Estate Services & Investments of Austin, Texas, through HPI Real Estate Services & Investments St. Johns LLC.
Lockhart Management Group, of Boca Raton, sold it through Lockhart Storage Centers of Jacksonville LLC.
Lockhart Management Group, Lockhart Storage Centers and Top Hat Commercial Real Estate developed and marketed the storage unit on 4.42 acres.
The project comprises 832 units and was planned for completion in August, according to Top Hat’s website. The facility is confirmed to be open.
A building permit for the 110,418-square-foot, three-story facility was issued September 2023 at a cost of $9.05 million by the county.
Complete General Contracting Group of Sarasota was the contractor.
