Miami-based Somerset Academy, a nonprofit charter school operator, bought the Somerset Academy Eagle Campus property in North Jacksonville on Sept. 16 for $15 million.

The campus is on two parcels totaling 19.43 acres at 2100 Dunn Ave.

Somerset bought it through Somerset Academy Foundation Inc.

Founded in 1997, Somerset says on its website it offers K-12 educational programs in Arizona, Florida, Nevada and Texas, as well as Spain. It owns 75 schools with more than 42,000 students and 2,000 teachers.

The seller was EB-5 Charter School Jacksonville LP. EB-5 is managed by GreenAccess with offices in Tequesta in Palm Beach County and Dubai.

GreenAccess says it offers “immigration success through secure government-backed investment projects. Get your USA Green Card in five easy steps.”

Built in 2018, the property includes two buildings, one 69,778 square feet and one 12,832 square feet.

Seaside Charter operated at the site in 2019.
