Global financial services group Nomura building-out on Downtown Southbank

The Tokyo-based Asian investment bank bought a business unit from Macquarie Group, which continues to operate with more than 200 employees in Riverplace Tower.

The city issued a permit Sept. 19 for Tokyo-based Nomura to create information technology space on part of the fourth floor of Riverplace Tower on the Downtown Southbank as it takes over one of Macquarie Group’s business units.

Ajax Building Co. of Midway is the contractor for the $250,000 project. Gensler is the architect. Meskel & Associates Engineering PLLC provided private plan review.
