Another Dunkin’ coming to Duval, this one along Normandy

With more than 3 dozen shops in the county, and more in the region, the coffee and doughnut chain is expanding in Westside.

Dunkin’, the coffee, doughnuts, drinks and food chain, is adding another shop to the dozens it operates in Northeast Florida.

The city issued a site-clearing permit Dec. 30 for a Dunkin’ on 2.46 acres at 11410 Normandy Blvd. in West Jacksonville.

The location is south of Normandy Boulevard between Chaffee Road and First Coast Expressway. It is across Normandy from McDonald’s.

Suncoast Industrial & Construction Services Inc. of Atlantic Beach is the contractor for the $800,000 project.

The city is reviewing a construction permit for a 1,980-square-foot shop at the same project cost. Donahue Architecture Inc. of Ocala is the architect.

Franchisee Alisha & Pooja LLC is listed as the owner.

Building plans show the Dunkin’ will have 18 inside seats. There is one drive-thru lane with a bypass lane to drive behind the building. There are 24 parking spaces.

There is counter and kiosk service.

The chain lists 36 locations in Jacksonville and more than a dozen in surrounding counties.

Dunkin’, founded in 1950, says it is the largest coffee and doughnuts brand in the United States, with more than 14,000 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets. 

Dunkin’ is part of Atlanta-based Inspire Brands, which franchises its brands that comprise Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Buffalo Wild Wings GO, Dunkin’, Jimmy John’s and Sonic.

Dunkin’ sells doughnuts, coffees, refreshers, teas, frozen drinks, breakfast sandwiches all day, snacks and wraps, bagels and muffins, and more.

Hours vary by location but many open at 5 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. or 9 p.m.
