James Gonzalez has assumed the role of managing partner of Cobb & Gonzalez.

Co-founder and shareholder Christopher Cobb said Jan. 6 that Gonzalez is now responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the firm.

Gonzalez focuses his practice on construction and business litigation, general liability, government contracts, business transactions and estate planning. He received a J.D. and an MBA from Villanova University. He was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2007.

He was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers in 2022 and is currently vice chair.

“I will continue to serve on the firm’s executive committee, will still be doing legal work and will focus on the firm’s long-term expansion plans,” Cobb said.
