The Urban Land Institute of North Florida has selected Jacksonville Jaguars owner and Downtown real estate developer Shad Khan as the district council’s 2026 Visionary Leader.
The annual award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution within the real estate industry and the community.
“Shad Khan is a visionary leader who has been instrumental in shaping a stronger, more connected community here in Jacksonville,” Aundra Wallace, JAXUSA Partnership president and the district council’s 2024 Visionary Leader, said in a Jan. 21 news release.
“His long-term commitment to our region is demonstrated through his bold vision that includes continued investment, responsible development and innovative land use. That vision is reflected in the transformative development helping to reshape and revitalize Downtown Jacksonville, from the Stadium of the Future to the Jacksonville Shipyards and beyond. Mr. Khan has made a lasting impact by driving economic growth and opportunity for Jacksonville, and he is truly deserving of the ULI Visionary Leader Award.”

Khan’s projects include the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences; the adjacent One Tower Court, which will house the Jaguars’ headquarters; the Miller Electric Center training facility; the $1.4 billion “Stadium of the Future” remake of EverBank Stadium; and other area improvements.
The award will be presented at the ULI North Florida Awards for Excellence Luncheon. Details regarding the date, time, and location will be announced in mid-2026.
Other awards presented at the luncheon will include real estate developments and projects in the following categories: New Development, Public Sector/Non-profit/Education, Reuse/Repurpose, Urban Development and Parks and Open Spaces.
