Hamlet at Wildlight, a 250-unit rental community in Yulee, sold March 24 for $78.7 million.

Virginia-based Middleburg Communities sold the property through The Hamlet at Wildlight LLC, which developed the community at 305 Whitby Drive off Florida 200 in the master-planned Wildlight development in Nassau County.

Welltower Inc. of Toledo, Ohio, purchased the property through 305 Whitby Drive Landlord LLC. Welltower owns more than 2,000 properties across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, according to the company.

Hamlet at Wildlight broke ground in April 2022 on 29.6 acres.

The development includes cottages and town homes with one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a fitness center, resort-style pool, dog park and clubhouse, along with some units featuring attached garages.

Wildlight is a mixed-use community in Yulee developed by Raydient Places + Properties, a subsidiary of Rayonier Inc., and includes residential, retail and health care uses.
