• Gov. Rick Scott and the Florida Sterling Council announced winners of the Governor’s Sterling Award and the Sustained Performance Excellence Award for 2011. The Manatee County Tax Collector and The Depository Trust and Clearing Corp. in Tampa won Sterling Awards. Shands Jacksonville Medical Center and the St. Johns County Health Department won Sustained Excellence Awards, along with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office.
