If you are looking for a job, more than 25 employers are hiring for 1,000 positions at a job fair Oct. 14.
The event, sponsored by Job News USA, is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront at 1201 Riverplace Blvd. on the Southbank Downtown.
Businesses offering opportunities include Colonial Life, CNS Healthcare, Duval County Public Schools, First Coast Security, Florida Blue, Gate Petroleum, Guidewell, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, U.S. Postal Service, VyStar Credit Union and others.
Jobs range from entry-level to managerial positions in the construction, financial, insurance, medical and service industries.
Computers will be available to submit applications and bilingual Spanish job-seeker assistance will be provided. Admission and parking in the garage under the hotel are free.
