Funding Florida Legal Aid, formerly known as The Florida Bar Foundation, is seeking applicants for nonlawyer public member directors for three-year terms starting July 1.

In accordance with its  Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation, there shall be no fewer than two or more than four public members, who shall not be lawyers, to be selected by a joint nominating committee of FFLA and The Florida Bar.

Completed applications for the seats must be received by May 15.

Since 1981, FFLA has been the administrator of the state Supreme Court-approved Interest on Trust Accounts Program. The FFLA board awards grants, oversees the organization’s fundraising program, sets investment policies and FFLA policies generally and adopts the annual operating budget.
