Printing company Mittera closing Jacksonville plant, affecting 100 jobs

The Iowa-based company said the loss of a customer prompted the closure.

Mittera Group Inc. filed a notice with the state May 18 saying it is closing its Jacksonville plant at 10301 Busch Drive N., affecting 100 full-time jobs.

The printing company said in a letter filed under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act a decision by the plant’s primary customer to move its work to another provider is prompting the closure.

The letter said the 100 employees will be terminated between July 17 and the end of 2026. Employees will receive wages and benefits through their last day of employment and retirement and insurance benefits will be provided in accordance with the terms of applicable benefit plans.

Des Moines, Iowa-based Mittera provides print, mail and marketing services.

The company has plants in 11 states, including Florida facilities in Pompano Beach and Sunrise, according to its website.
