Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville Vice President of Operations Kyle Dorsey will be the next president of Baptist Medical Center South, starting Nov. 1.

Dorsey has been in his role as vice president since 2017. This year, he served as interim president of Baptist Jacksonville from April to August.

Nicole Thomas, who previously served as president of Baptist Medical Center South, was named Baptist Jacksonville president in August.

“I have enjoyed watching how Kyle has developed as a member of our executive leadership team and am confident that he will excel in this important role,” said Baptist Health President and CEO Michael Mayo in a news release Oct. 13.

“I have a tremendous sense of pride in the bench strength of our leadership at Baptist.”

Dorsey is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received a master’s degree in health administration and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Ohio State University. He was an administrative fellow at Duke University from 2009-11.

He joined Baptist Health in 2014 as an assistant administrator of clinical and support services.

“I have had amazing opportunities to grow at Baptist Jacksonville for the past four years,” Dorsey said in the release.
