Mayo Clinic in Florida is renovating the Kinne Auditorium and upgrading the finishes in the corridor of the Cannaday Building.

The city is reviewing a permit application for a $2.55 million renovation at the Mayo campus at 4500 San Pablo Road S.

Communications Manager Kevin Punsky said Aug. 2 that Mayo Clinic is renovating Kinne Auditorium along with the nearby bathrooms and breakout conference rooms.

He said the corridor work is a finish upgrade.

“We are bringing the finish look of the Davis and Mayo buildings to the first floor of the Cannaday Building. The purpose is to have a uniform appearance to our main entrance floors for all three buildings,” Punsky said in an email.

He said the finished result will not be completely identical, but will more resemble each other.

Batson-Cook Construction is shown as the contractor for the Kinne Auditorium. BWBR Architects of St. Paul, Minnesota, is the architect.
