• The Chamber of Commerce’s vice president of finance, Lynette Beitz, has earned the Certified Management Accountant designation.

• James Patrick Thornton, chairman and director of The Development Group, and Holland & Knight attorney Fred D. Franklin Jr. have been named to the board of trustees for St. Vincent’s Health System for three-year terms.

• Laurie Jacobs has been named art director for The Kurtis Group. Jacobs worked with Camares Communication in Monroe, N.Y. for five years before joining Kurtis.

• The Rotary Club of South Jacksonville has named its new officers. They are Mayo Mills, president; Hobart Joost, president-elect; Gary Wilkinson, vice president; Bob Massey Jr., secretary; James Chansler, treasurer; and Bill Jaycox, sergeant of arms. Jeff Edwards is the immediate past president. The club has approximately 150 members and meets every Tuesday at the Radisson.
