When officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office heard that 4-year-old Keegan Davis wants to be a police officer, they visited him Wednesday at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. During a couple of visits, officers brought Keegan several gifts, including a sheriff’s office coin, a glow-in-the-dark K-9 Unit coin, an official JSO uniform patch, stickers, fingerprint kits and a guardian angel pin. Keegan’s parents are Candice and Kenneth Davis. Keegan was admitted to the hospital May 5 and diagnosed four days later with Burkitt’s lymphoma. Four weeks ago, his mother said, “He was a normal boy playing baseball and riding bikes. Not a worry in the world.” This saying is on Keegan’s Facebook page: Strong like Superman.
