Family-owned chain opening fourth location in former Sticky Fingers, Woody’s space.

St. Marys Seafood & More will take over the former Sticky Fingers Ribhouse, which also briefly was a Woody’s Bar-B-Q, at Baymeadows Road and Interstate 295.

It will be the company’s fourth restaurant.

Nammour Nammour, managing partner, said the family ownership group hopes to open the location in April.

He said the first St. Marys Seafood opened seven years ago in St. Marys, Georgia, followed five years ago by a second location at 11290 Old St. Augustine Road in Mandarin and a third restaurant two years ago at World Golf Village in St. Johns County.

“There are a lot of people in this area,” Nammour said of the 8129 Point Meadows Way location, where he said Sticky Fingers operated for 13 years.

St. Marys Seafood will seat about 170 patrons, he said, and it will start with beer and wine as it seeks approvals for full alcohol service.

Nammour said the ownership group comprises five relatives – brothers and in-laws – who started seven years ago with the first restaurant.

“There’s always someone in the family in one of the restaurants,” he said.

He said the family formerly was in the gas station business in St. Marys and then a restaurant there closed. “We ended up taking that over,” he said.

He said the four restaurants will employ about 150 people full- and part-time. The St. Marys and World Golf Village restaurants employ about 30 people each while the two in Jacksonville each will employ about 45 to 50 employees.

Work at the Baymeadows restaurant will include ordering new equipment, tables, chairs and booths.

The online menu shows appetizers, salads, soups, combo platters at lunch and dinner, “land favorites,” pasta, sandwiches, shellfish entrees, “Fisherman’s Favorite,” a children’s menu, sides and desserts.

It features fresh oysters, clams, shrimp, crabs and fish.

St. Marys was represented by Fred Pollitt of Available Real Estate Co. and Laila Hassan of Magnolia Properties of Jacksonville.  They also represented St. Marys during its third expansion at World Golf Village.
