Gas station and convenience stores adding site.
There’s movement on three Wawa locations.
• Wawa is preparing to build a 6,202-square-foot gas station and convenience store at 3560 Spring Park Road at Emerson Street.
The city is reviewing a permit application for the store, gas canopy and dumpster enclosure on about 2 acres at a cost of almost $1.1 million.
Cuhaci & Peterson Architects of Orlando is the architect and engineer.
• Brightwork Real Estate filed site construction plans for a Wawa at 13363 Beach Blvd. at Brougham Avenue.
The 6,119-square-foot gas station and convenience store is planned on almost 2.5 acres. Bohler Engineering of Tampa is the civil engineer.
• Wawa Florida LLC applied for a Certificate of Use for a 5,636-square-foot store at 2500 Monument Road in East Arlington. The location is under construction.
In addition to Wawa, RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. is adding sites.
Atlanta-based RaceTrac is near construction of another gas station and convenience store in Arlington.
The city is reviewing permit applications for Venture Construction Co. of Norcross, Georgia, to build a 5,500-square-foot store along with a gas canopy and dumpster enclosure on about 3 acres at 9383 Merrill Road at a cost of $1.4 million.
RaceTrac paid $1.25 million for the property, which is at the split of Merrill and Fort Caroline roads and Business Drive in Buck Business Park.
RaceTrac already operates a mile west at 8240 Merrill Road. That store will remain.
Daily’s also is continuing expansion. The St. Johns River Water Management District is reviewing plans for First Coast Energy LLP. to develop a Daily’s gas station and convenience store at Kernan West, at northwest Butler and Kernan boulevards.
