Reapportionment and voting reform headlined the address of University of Florida College of Law dean Jon Mills at Tuesday’s Federal Bar Association luncheon at the Omni. Still an actively practicing lawyer, Mills has represented high-profile cases such as race car driver Dale Earnhardt’s family following his death last year. As for reapportionment, Mills called for a standard of one vote per person and equal districts without losing focus on other concerns. “Equality has been matched by other issues, which are as equally challenging as racial barriers,” he said.
