• Jack Dunsmoor has been named vice president of corporate operations for Firehouse Subs. Dunsmoor will be responsible for running all corporate units to maximize profitability while concentrating on additional company locations on the East Coast. He will work out of the corporate office in Mandarin.
• Mayor John Delaney has named Francisco “Frank” Castriota budget officer in the Department of Administration and Finance. The appointment requires City Council approval.
• The Landing will host Downtown June Jam Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. There’s also a fireworks display scheduled for 9:45 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
• Michael Brown, CEO of BrownINK Designs, has been named the 2002 District, State and Regional Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
• Dan Cook has left Junior Achievement, telling the board of directors that he has accomplished what he had hoped to accomplish during his tenure. Steve St. Amand, vice president of development, was appointed president. Cook plans to resume his consulting career.
