WCR Not Just For Women

The Women’s Council of Realtors® originated on a train from New York to California in 1936.

Several Realtors®, women, had just attended the NAR convention and were discussing the fact that women were not allowed membership in local boards. This limited their education and networking opportunities, restricting their business growth in the real estate industry. They wanted to create a professional organization, available to “all” Realtors®, offering education in business issues and networking opportunities for members.

The WCR has been successful from its inception. It is one of the premier professional organizations, recognized by the National Association of Realtors today.

Membership has grown annually to over 20,000 participants with Florida being one of the largest and most active chapters.

As a two time past Local Chapter President and two-time past District I Vice President, I know first hand the networking strength of the WCR. It makes no difference what franchise or company you have your license with…if you ask a WCR member for help with your real estate business…you receive the best they have to offer, no questions asked.

I can’t think of a better organization to have my name associated with than the Women’s Council of Realtors®.
