JBA installs new officers

The Jacksonville Bar Association held its monthly meeting last week at the Omni to install new officers for the coming year. Bill Joel, in-house counsel for Winn-Dixie, was sworn-in as president, replacing Tom Beverly of Bedell, Dittmar, DeVault, Pillans & Coxe. James Moseley Jr. is the JBA’s president-elect. New Board of Governors members are Robert Devine from Coffman, Coleman, Andrews & Grogan, Judge Harvey Schlesinger’s law clerk Caroline Emery, Michael Freed from Smith, Hulsey & Busey and Reginald Luster of Gibbs, Luster and Davis. The JBA also presented an award to retiring Florida Supreme Court Justice Major Harding, honoring his service on the court.
